Who we are

Sales Forge is a trading name of Multichannel Ecommerce Ltd. We are responsible for the personal information collected through sales-forge.co.uk and enquiries about our services.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email hello@sales-forge.co.uk or call 01924 654365.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, including your name, work email address, company, optional telephone number, the type of support you need and your message. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or confidential customer records in an initial enquiry.

Our website and its hosting systems may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, access times and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service.

How and why we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, understand your requirements, discuss potential work and manage our business relationship. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and providing relevant services. Where you are asking us to enter into a contract with you personally, we may also process information to take steps at your request before entering that contract.

We use technical information for our legitimate interests in running, maintaining and protecting the website, including detecting spam and investigating faults. We may retain or disclose information where necessary to meet a legal obligation.

You choose whether to contact us. Fields marked as required on the enquiry form are needed to handle your message; without them, we may not be able to respond properly. The phone number field is optional.

Analytics, advertising and marketing

We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising tracking or a marketing mailing list on this website. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

We plan to introduce Google Analytics in the future. Before enabling it, we will update this notice to explain the data it collects and put the appropriate cookie choices in place. It is not enabled as part of the current website setup.

Cookies and external services

WordPress uses cookies for website administration and signed-in users, including login and screen preferences. These are separate from advertising or audience-measurement cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies can affect sign-in and other functionality.

The site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to fetch these files, which can disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details. This is separate from Google Analytics. See Google Fonts privacy information and Google’s privacy policy for details.

Who may receive your information

Information may be handled by the service providers involved in operating our website, email and IT systems, and by people authorised to deal with your enquiry. We may also share information with professional advisers or public authorities when necessary for a specific matter or legal requirement.

We do not sell enquiry information or use it for advertising audiences. Website links to other organisations lead to services with their own privacy notices.

International processing

Some external technology services, including Google Fonts, operate internationally, so information sent to them may be processed outside the UK. Their privacy information explains their processing arrangements. Contact us if you need further information about the providers used for your enquiry or the safeguards that apply.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. For enquiries, this depends on whether a discussion or prospective project is still active, whether it becomes a client relationship, and whether a record is needed to resolve a query or dispute. Contractual, accounting or legal requirements may require some records to be kept longer.

Technical and security records are kept according to their operational purpose and any need to investigate an incident. When information is no longer required, it should be deleted or anonymised. You can ask us about the retention period that applies to a particular record.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing and transfer of information in a portable form. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Tell us about your circumstances so we can consider your request. If we ever use your information for direct marketing, you can object to that use at any time.

To make a request, contact hello@sales-forge.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing information. Rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law.

Questions and complaints

Please contact us first if you have a concern so that we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our website or handling of personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
